One of South Africa’s public universities has an offering of short course programmes and has invited prospective students to apply for registration for the next academic year. Here’s all you need to know about how you can apply for these programmes.
The University of South Africa (Unisa) Centre for Lifelong Learning offers short learning programmes in the following colleges:
Accounting Sciences, Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, Economic and Management Sciences, Education, Human Sciences, Law, Science, Engineering and Technology, Graduate School of Business Leadership and the other Administration and Professional course.
According to Unisa, the Short Learning Programmes (SLPs) focus on “just in time” and “just enough” learning to meet a specific learning need identified by individuals, organisations or society at large.
Here are steps on how to apply for Unisa Short Learning Process:
- Go to the Unisa website.
- Click on Apply
- Click on Short Learning Programmes
- Click on Apply for admission
- Under ‘How to apply’ Click on ‘apply online’
- Click on Short Learning Programmes
- Do you have a student number? If you have a student number that starts with a 7, then click YES
- If you have any other Unisa student number but it doesn’t start with a 7 then Click NO.
- Put your personal details.
- Select the qualification you want to apply for;
- Put your details and continue.
- Load your documents
- Submit your application.
After the student has submitted an application, the student may use its logins to track their application outcome, however, the university will communicate the outcome of the short learning programme application between January and February 2023.
Recently, the university has invited both prospective and current students to apply for these programmes.
The application period will open on 1 September 2022 and close on 14 October 2022.
Students have been encouraged to use this opportunity by applying as early as possible to avoid the last minute rush.
