Dispensary Support Learnerships

Minimum Requirements:

Essential: is

  • Grade 12 – Matric or a Senior Certificate with Pure Mathematics 50%, Life Science and or Physical Science and obtained at least an average of 50%

Cashiers

Minimum Requirements:
Essential:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • A minimum of 6 months’ experience cashier/till operations experience
  • Computer literate – MS Office
  • Sound numerical skills
  • Strong command of the English language
  • Basic customer service
  • Willing and able to work retail hours


Job Description:

  • Adhere to Dis-Chem’s customer service policies and procedures
  • Establish a professional relationship with customers
  • Report customer complaints and compliments to the Frontline Supervisor, or store management
  • Adhere to the customer turnover hourly rate
  • Be aware of current sales and promotions
  • Ensure colleagues and customers are not exposed to any risk
  • Carry out and manage Dis-Chem 5 star communication principles
  • Be responsible for cash flow
  • Ensure all line voids and price changes are approved and signed off by the supervisor
  • Exchange merchandise for customers and accept returned goods by customers when authorised to do so
  • Transact all purchases – receive and process all payments (cash, bank cards, vouchers, coupons, other forms of payments) accepted by Dis-Chem

Receptionist

Minimum Requirements:

Essential:

  • Grade 12 / Matric


Job Description:

  • Register patients according to established standards.
  • Assists patients in completing necessary medical forms including medical insurances.
  • Monitor and maintain the clinical equipment, stationery and medication required.
  • Inform patients of clinic procedures and manages patient’s records.
  • Open new patient files according to standard procedures.
  • Ensure patient information is correct.
  • Process medical aid payments.
  • Move patients through appoints as scheduled.
  • Obtain medical reports if required.
  • Ensure the reception area is clean and maintained to safeguard the patient’s privacy and confidentiality.
  • Answer all incoming calls within a reasonable time according to Dis-Chem standards.
  • Use proper telephone etiquette when speaking with patients over the phone.
  • Give relevant and accurate information to callers regarding their requests, questions or concerns.
  • Ensure to take down caller details on all calls that come through to the switchboard for the third time, and email the relevant staff.
  • Ensure you are taking the correct message from the callers – repeat the message to the caller for confirmation.

Consultants

Minimum Requirements:
Essential:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Retail experience as a sales consultant
  • Computer literate
  • Willing and able to work retail hours

Advantageous:

  • Cosmetic, fragrance and/or beauty experience


Job Description:

  • Escalate serious and unresolved customer complaint to the manager
  • Provide a high level of customer care and service
  • Demonstrate products through makeovers, cosmetics demonstration, spray promotions and/or activities
  • Manage stock levels according to Dis-Chem procedures – report on short, damage and expired stock to manager
  • Ensure merchandising and displays are set up attractively
  • Maximise store income by achieving department, brand and vendor sales

HR Admin

Minimum Requirements…

Essential:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Degree / Diploma in Human Resources
  • Minimum of 1 – 2 year’s general HR administration experience

Job Specification:

  • Assist in the maintenance of Human Resource records by recording new hires, transfers, terminations and the tracking leave
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department
  • To attend to payroll related queries.
  • Provide information regarding payroll matters such as leave, provident fund and medical aid.
  • Prepare and submit HR information reports
  • Coordinate all HR projects and activities
  • Prepare necessary HR documents i.e. employment contracts
  • To perform on-boarding duties of new employees
  • To prepare and amend HR documents, i.e. employment contracts and recruitment guides
  • Assemble nomination attendance lists for training sessions
  • To assist with the coordination of training sessions
  • Reporting regularly on HR metrics, such as company turnover
  • Ensure preparation of documents for CCMA cases
  • Provide administrative support for all ER related processes

Store Cleaner – Fixed Term Contract

Minimum Requirements:
Essential:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • A minimum of 6 months’ cleaning experience
  • Sound command of the English language
  • Basic customer service
  • Additional language that is area specific
  • Willing and able to work retail hours

Advantageous:

  • Bilingual
  • Previous retail store cleaning experience

Job Descriptions:

  • Provide a daily high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the store, shop floor and communal areas, before the store opens.
  • Develop routines to ensure all areas of the store are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Ensure the canteen and restrooms are clean, and stocked with the necessary products at all times.
  • Be available throughout operational hours to clean up as and when required.
  • Ensure correct cleaning products and equipment are used for specific jobs.
  • Ensure the wet floor sign is up and visible at both ends, when cleaning the floor.
  • Be friendly, professional and able to assist customers.
  • Perform duties according to Health and Safety Regulations.

Store Driver (Motorbike & Vehicle)

Dis-Chem Pharmacies require a Motorbike & Vehicle Driver for their Benmore Store. You will be responsible for delivering goods to customers in a timely, productive and professional manner

Minimum Requirements:

Essential:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Valid driver’s license (code A1)
  • Willing and able to work retail hours and/or shifts

Advantageous:

  • Previous experience in a similar role

Job Description:

  • Safely transport products to customer locations in a timely, safe and courteous manner
  • Be open to learning the various dispatch functions
  • Ensure the correct products are delivered to the correct customer within the specified time
  • Ensure that fridge line deliveries are prioritised and transported using cooler boxes and cold packs
  • Use the shortest and most efficient route to the customer, and back to the store

Store Manager

Minimum Requirements:

Essential:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Minimum of 5 years Retail/FMCG –Experience in all retail departments –Receiving, Administration, Cash Office or Sales Floor Management
  • Supervisor: Minimum of 2 years
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Unisolv / SAP / QlikView
  • Previous experience with Kronos
