Millions of individuals have been approved for Sassa SRD Grant payments in June. Sassa has confirmed when beneficiaries of the R370 Sassa grant will be paid.
The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) has released the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant payment dates for June 2024. These payment dates inform millions of people when they can expect to receive their Sassa SRD grant payment.
SRD Grant Payment Dates For June
Sassa said approved SRD grant applicants will receive SRD grant payments from Wednesday 26 June until 29 June 2024.
Payments (for clients who are approved for June 2024) will be processed from 26-29 June 2024.
Sassa reminded beneficiaries that their money may take between two and three days before it is reflected in their bank accounts. Once the money is reflected in their bank account, they can begin using tier grant money.
Funds will take about 2-3 working days to reflect in the client’s account after payment has been processed.
SRD grant beneficiaries are encouraged to complete an SRD Grant Status Check to see if they have been approved for payments in June.
Clients are encouraged to view their status on the SRD website for the exact date that payment will reflect in their bank accounts
How Sassa Verifies SRD Grant Applications
The application process for the SRD grant involves several steps to verify your eligibility. First, you’ll need to provide your details, including your ID number, name, and surname. This information is then sent to the Department of Home Affairs for validation.
In the next step, your ID number is checked against various databases. These include the South African Revenue Services (SARS), Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF), and National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) to assess your financial situation.
After that, both your ID number and mobile number are subjected to a fraud risk scoring process to ensure the legitimacy of your application.
Finally, once all these checks are complete, Sassa will evaluate your application and determine whether you are approved or denied for the SRD grant.
