Under the new SRD regulations , SASSA is only covering 10 million applicants per month , however more than 10 million people are already in the system and that is not a problem since SASSA have plans in place on how they are going to pay everyone who qualifies.

How to apply or reapply for SASSA SRD in 2022?

SASSA have made multiple channels available for SRD application. Here we will talk about two most popular application methods.However you only have to apply once via this web site or the above WhatsApp number and not many times on every channel.SASSA will only process one application received from each applicant.

Method 1:

Go to Whatsapp and add the above , then send a text “SASSA”  then you will be given more instruction on what to do next.

1. Got to SASSA SRD Website
2. Scroll down to “ How do I apply for this SRD Grant”.
3. Click on a yellow bar written “Click here to apply online”.
4. Enter a cell phone number.
5. Click “send sms”.
6. SASSA OTP will be sent to you via sms.
7. Enter the OTP. 
8. Click “verify pin” or click “resend sms” if you did not get OTP sms
9. An electronic form will appear , you must complete it .
10. Click “Submit” when you’re done.
