NSFAS Approved List 2022 Released

National Student Financial Aid Scheme has released list of 2022 qualifying student to the 26
public universities and 50 TVET colleges. NSFAS, on their Twitter page @myNSFAS, posted a
notification with a media release in the evening of 02 February 2022.
NSFAS announcement on 2022 approval list
Today marks the official day of the release of NSFAS list of qualifying applicants for the 2022
academic year. On their press releases published on their (NSFAS) Twitter page, NSFAS has
confirmed that a list of qualifying student applicants has been sent to the public universities
and TVET colleges. Students are urged to consult their institutions’ funding o몭ces for enquiries
about this list. It is also worth noting that those with successful statuses must go or register
with their institutions. No need to pay registration fees as the fees for the funded students
have been waived.

Real-time decisions for applicants
NSAFS further said that of the 906 429 applicant, 267 748 (30% of applicants) have received
real-time decisions when submitting their applications via myNSFAS portal.
Appeal for those rejected
Those who have not been successful are urged to appeal the decision if they feel that they
qualify. Appeal will officially open on 03 February 2022. Appeals can be logged via nsfas.org.za.
Supporting documents to back the appeals will be needed when students send their appeals.
Affidavits will not be considered as supporting documents.
